I am Michael Abramovich, born in 1957 in Kyrgyzstan.
When I was a little boy I used to walk the streets of Frunze (now Bishkek) with my mother, she turned my attention to special and intelligent faces, as well as beautiful landscapes of the city. At the age of fourteen I started photographing. My photographs received professional praise and a year later were published in the newspapers.
In 1972 I relocated to the holy land and learned Hebrew. Later, I went to technical school and learned to be an aeronautics technician. Then I joined the army in 1976 as a helicopter mechanic in the technical Air force unit, and at the age of nineteen, as a result of an injury, I could not continue my academic studies and focused on photographing. From 1990 to 2020 I have worked as a photographer at the Weizman institute.
I travel around the world, and up to date (2022) have been to 46 countries in all continents except Africa.
